Yang Music - CD
Chinese Regimen Music for Better Health
A healthy body keeps its yin and yang in balance. An unhealthy state leads to ilness and abnormalities. An ancient Chinese text "The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine", tells us that human voices work in accordance with the laws of melody, while Qi (Chi) and yin and yang corresponds to the laws of rhythm. Equilibrium between yin and yang in the human body may be achieved like harmony in music. A longstanding therapeutic practice of Chinese medicine uses the yin/yang attributes of music to affect and regulate yin/yang relations within the body.
Listeners are advised to choose Yin Music or Yang Music depending upon the condition of their own systems and the nature of their environments. Sometimes, just "listening to what the body tells you" makes the best choices.
For those physical emotional types inclined toward yin dispositions (i.e., those born with physical defects, who are undernourished, cold-sensitive timid, or with deteriorating bodily functions, wth constant mental suppression, those who shun the public eye, who suffer in winter weather but thrive in summer). Also for people who live and work in female-dominated environments, or where darkness or humidity prevail, need to nourish their masculine energies through listening to Yang music.
Performed by the Shanghai Chinese Traditional Orchestra.
Running time: 44' 50"
