Health in Summer - CD
(Mang Zhong) Beard of Wheat
The three months of summer is the time of luxurious growth. The Qi of Heaven and of Earth intermingle, and the myriad beings are abundant. People should rise early from sleep, avoid succumbing to the pressures of the day, and not allow their aspirations to give rise to anger. They should permit their excellence to develp and their Qi to flow outward. Living with benevolent love for all things, this is the way of preserving life and living in harmony with Summer. To do otherwise will harm the heart, leading to fevers and poor health during the coming Autumn.
This music can be listened to in the daytime (from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) and in the summer months. As summer draws on, heat and humidity can lead to Xie (harmful) Qi creeping in and causing heaviness of chest, weakness in the limbs, and malnourishment and thinning. This music helps to overcome some of the oppressive heat of summer by drawing out and causing to flow out inner Yin Qi.
Performed by The Shanghai Movie Music Group.
